Using a mixture of mediums — video and film — this short film is an experimental exploration of images and our sentimental reminiscences as a family. In this case, a summer memory told in first person. Taking advantage of a mise-en-scène of an empty summer space — a swimming pool in a tourist resort — the film manipulates the images by playing with their plasticity, managing to produce a staged simulacrum of the real, almost like a distorted reverberation of the protagonist's consciousness. Hoax is a pulsating contamination exercise between the end of film and the beginning of digital video.
