Joanna Hogg’s final year project, Caprice marks the beginning of the director’s prolific collaboration with the actor Tilda Swinton, then also at the start of her career. Inspired by Godard, Fellini and Charles Vidor, the short film follows Lucky, a girl who is transported to the pages of her favourite fashion magazine. The protagonist travels as if in a dream between the different pages of the publication, with lively backdrops and choreographed routines, in a fun work presented in Technicolor.
