When a member of her community falls ill, Supijaq, a young apprentice shaman, faces her first big test: she must go down into a cave under the ice and find the spirit Kannaaluk, to find out what is causing the disease. Accompanied by her grandmother, Supijaq will meet many challenges and learn something new as she overcomes each of them. In his first animated work, Zacharias Kunuk pays tribute to the myths and stories that have been passed down between generations of Inuit people, and which help them to live in the harsh conditions of the Arctic.
