In her first short film, Laura Gonçalves addresses an intimate part of her life: Christmas time spent with her family, in her home village of Belmonte. Pencil-drawn and animated with vibrant fluidity, Three weeks in December is a kind of logbook of the many small traditions, routines and happy reunions of this festive season, in a small community in the Portuguese hinterland.
